8 - Hobby exploration. Crestal well on a NNW-SSE trending basal Cretaceous Punt channel with dip-closure to the north and south along the channel axis and shale-out along channel margins. Punt 2 Sandstone proved 178 ft net oil pay with saturation extending into the Upper Jurassic (Volgian) Burns secondary target. Punt 2 tested 4,684 bopd + 0.694 mmcfgpd (48/64" choke).
8 Z - Golden Eagle appraisal. Deviated ENE targeting the Upper Jurassic (Volgian) Burns Sandstone on the south west flank of a combination trap; fault bounded to the south east, dip-closed to the north east and with up-dip pinch-out. The well encountered 75.8 ft net oil pay in Punt 2 secondary target and 79 ft net oil pay in the Burns objective.
8 Y - Hobby exploration. Deviated along the channel axis to test the north west extension of the NNW-SSE trending Punt channel with dip-closure to the north and south along the channel axis and shale-out along channel margins. The well proved 265 ft of net pay in Punt 2 Sandstones and 68 ft net pay in the Upper Burns. Oil sample taken from Punt.
8 X - Hobby exploration. Deviated to the north west, beyond the limit of the main basal Cretaceous Punt channel anomaly in unchannelised sandstone facies. The well proved 65 ft of net oil pay in Punt 2 and oil in minor shale prone Upper Jurassic (Volgian) Upper Burns equivalent, marking the up-dip limit of the Burns reservoir.
9 - Up-dip appraisal of Peregrine. Structural and stratigraphic trap; pinch-out of Upper Jurassic (Volgian) Ettrick and Burns Sandstone members to the west, fault offset to the north, dip-closure to the east and fault seal to the south. Well encountered 6 ft of net sand in unprognosed basal Cretaceous Punt 2 Sandstone. Burns objective was water wet in thin-bedded and tight sandstones.
