Exploration well on the Severn prospect, a combined structural/stratigraphic trap on NW-SE trending inverted ridge, with Crawshaw and Trent sandstone objectives subcropping Lower Permian Silverpit claystones and evaporites down-dip of well 43/17-2. The main hole and 43/18a-2Z were junked. Well 43/18a-2Y encountered Namurian B (Marsdenian) subcropping Silverpit with the main objectives truncated. Stacked high net/gross Kinderscoutian channel sandstones from 10,732–11,114 ft were water-wet with no shows.
