Exploration well on the Magnolia prospect, a Lower Cretaceous wedge/pinch-out onto the southern flank of the Captain Horst with dip-closure to the south and stacked Captain, Coracle and Punt sandstone objectives prognosed at 3,400–4,500 ft. The well was inclined at 11–12° to intersect these sands on an optimum trajectory and encountered 302 ft of total net sandstone in a 764 ft section from 3,386–4,150 ft, overlying a thin Kimmeridge Clay and Old Red Sandstone. No shows were seen, with no saturation from MWD logs.
