Platypus exploration. Deviated north east to a crestal location on a low-relief NNW-SSE trending faulted anticline structure with three-way dip-closure. The low permeability Lower Permian Lower Leman Sandstone objective was gas bearing, the GWC was at 10,256 ft TVDSS giving a gross gas pay of 221 ft TVT. Core was cut. A DST flowed dry gas at 7 mmcfgpd (44/64” choke), CGR was 2.6 bbls/mmscf. The Carboniferous secondary objective was dominated by shale.
