Jackdaw appraisal; a deep faulted anticline structure. Gas and condensate in the “Upper Turbidite Sandstone” encountered from 17,767 ft (17,606 ft TVDSS) with gas down to 18,110 ft (17,949.5 ft TVDSS). The “Lower Turbidite Sandstone” objective, from 18,297 ft (18,137 ft TVDSS) was hydrocarbon bearing, with gas in the Middle Jurassic Pentland Formation at 18,815 ft (18,654 ft TVDSS) with gas down to 19,383 ft (19,212 ft TVDSS), two cores were cut but the planned well test could not be performed.
