Released Wells 9/3b-7, 7Z

Horizontal appraisal wells on Bentley heavy oil discovery drilled as laterals with smart completions located at the crest of the field. Main hole (B6 lateral) drilled Upper Dornoch reservoir with 60–80 ft offset from the oil-water contact (3,731 ft TVDSS) to evaluate water coning from the aquifer during an extended well test. The Upper Dornoch at 7,035 ft with 2,213 ft of gross reservoir (n/g 0.99). The 9/3b-7Z well (B5 lateral) was drilled close to the roof of the reservoir (5–12 ft offset) with a 2,042 ft reservoir section from 7,604 ft. Both laterals were completed with sand screens and ESP, B6 flowed an average 2,600 bopd and a maximum rate of 3,500 bopd on EWT.
