Appraisal well on East Fyne, a Lower/Middle Eocene dip-closure with the Middle Tay Main Sandstone as the main objective overlying a Zechstein salt swell. The Main Sandstone was prognosed at 4,520 ft TVDSS; high to the Fyne field-wide contact at 4,583 ft, but poor imaging due to an overlying probable gas cloud made accurate picks difficult. The well encountered the Upper Tay close to prognosis at 4,291 ft TVDSS with gas in two thin probable injectite sands and 26.8° API oil in a third sand towards the base. The Upper Tay directly overlay Lista claystones at 4,563 ft TVDSS with the Main Sandstone objective absent.
