Appraisal well on east flank Courageous anticline to determine Forties (F7) reservoir quality and confirm oil/gas reserves for development decision. Surface location to permit exploration sidetrack to Audacious prospect (top Forties lobe/pinch-out) with well deviated SW. Encountered top Forties Sandstone Member 78 ft deep to prognosis and F7 Sand 79 ft deep at 10,113 ft TVDSS. No gas/oil shows or saturation from LWD resistivity (porosity logs did not reach reservoir). After six days waiting on weather well abandoned without drilling to planned TD or drilling Audacious sidetrack.
