Geological sidetrack to appraisal well on Colter Fault block structure with primary Sherwood Sandstone target up-dip of proven oil in 98/11-3. Vertical main hole drilled south of main bounding fault on terrace drilled by 98/11-1, proving 31 ft section at top Sherwood with 10 ft of net oil pay from LWD logs, with good shows and likely common oil-water contact with 98/11-1. The 98/11a-6Z well deviated north to main fault block with oil/gas shows in Cornbrash and Lower Oxfordian. Top Sherwood Sandstone deep to oil-water contact in 98/11-3 (5,704–7,510 ft TVDSS) and water-wet.
