Completed Well 20/5b-14

Sub-vertical appraisal well located NW and up-dip of Verbier discovery well 20/5b-13Z to confirm commercial oil reserves in the Lower Volgian J64 Sandstone. Verbier is a combination structural/stratigraphic trap on a J64 fan at an approximate depth of 11,100–12,200 ft. Located 1.25 miles NE of discovery well on the south edge of an amplitude anomaly, well objective was to confirm commercial reserves. Well, slightly deviated to NE, failed to encounter sands at the objective, indicating reserves towards the lower end of the range. A contingent appraisal sidetrack was not drilled.
