Horizontal exploration well on Warwick ("Warwick Deep") prospect, a down-thrown closure on the Rona Ridge at top basement but with potential extension of Lincoln oil accumulation in fractured Lewisian basement. Well deviated WNW to intersect fractures at optimum orientation. Main hole abandoned for mechanical reasons. Sidetrack drilled 2,336 ft horizontal section at c. 6,444 ft TVDSS but tested at low rates/pressures indicating poor fracture connectivity and recovering mainly drilling brine and formation water, with traces of oil and gas. Higher rates were achieved on ESP at a high draw-down.
