Exploration well on the Winchelsea project, a low-relief fault block/subconformity trap with a Lower Ketch (Westphalian C) main objective. Target lay vertically below the well location, but well was deviated to avoid a potentially over-pressured Plattendolomit raft. Murdoch Sandstone was a secondary target. Well encountered gas in the Lower Ketch objective from 12,337 ft TVDSS with GDT 12,504 ft TVDSS and WUT 12,596 ft TVDSS from logs. Tested 8.64 mmcfgpd. Murdoch Sandstone (13,306–13,427 ft TVDSS) was water-wet.
